CEIP SANTA ANA: ERASMUS DAYS AND A NEW EUROPEAN ADVENTURE

As every year, the Erasmus Days arrive, marking the celebration of this EU initiative that brings together educational institutions involved in these projects. It’s a time to share ideas, network, and strengthen ties for future editions and mobility programs for both teachers and students.

This year, CEIP Santa Ana is joining the celebration by launching a new project, «Euro Warriors Across Europe» in collaboration with schools in Slovakia and Portugal. This exciting European adventure aims to promote environmental care through the creation of a smart school garden at the Cuenca center. Students will have the opportunity to study plant growth, collect climate data, and compare it with data from their partner schools.

To kickstart the project, the three schools have already held video calls to get to know each other and begin planning. In the near future, teachers from Cuenca will visit the Slovakian school to observe their environmental education practices firsthand.

To celebrate this year’s Erasmus Days, 5th and 6th-grade students gathered in the school auditorium to meet their new Slovakian classmates and watch a video showcasing CEIP Santa Ana’s successful history with Erasmus+ projects since 2015.

This educational initiative plays a crucial role in fostering connections with European countries and promoting bilingual education through the use of English.
